God wants to talk to you

God wants to talk to you

Text: 2 Timothy 3: 16-17: All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,  so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Imagine what it would be like to be able to talk with God and hear his voice every day. Wouldn’t it be fantastic? You could receive directly from God’s instruction, comfort, help, and direction for your life. The truth is that this is not just imagination but it is possible.
Through the Bible, God speaks with you. He inspired the people who wrote the Bible to convey his message. When you read the Bible, you read the word of God. With the help of the Holy Spirit in reading the Bible, we enter into the presence of God and learn from him. Therefore, search your Bible and let God speak to you.
To hear God through the Bible:

  • Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to guide your reading time and give you understanding.
  • Set aside time each day to read the Bible carefully.
  • Think and reflect during the day on what you read.
  • As much as God wants to talk to you, you too must be well-positioned to hear from Him

Lord God, I want to hear your voice. I want to hear and understand what you want to tell me today. Holy Spirit, talk to me and help me understand the word of God when I read the Bible. Amen.
