God is calling us to pray for revival.

We are living in a time of great darkness and need the light of Jesus Christ to shine through us. The Lord has given us this moment, this day, right now, to pray for His will on earth as it is in heaven. It’s not about our plans or what we think should happen but rather praying according to His plan and purpose. Let’s join together with one voice and ask Him for an outpouring of His Spirit that will bring true change!
If you have been feeling burdened by the state of the world and the church, then these 100 prayer points on revival might be what your heart is craving for.

Praying for personal revival

  1. Praise God according to Psalm 48:2. Worship the Lord because He is beautiful in every situation of your life, family, ministry, career, this nation, Nigeria, and the nations of the world.
  2. His Word assured us that He could be found when we seek Him with sincerity of heart. Praise Him because as we seek after Him, He will reveal His glory and power to us. Acts 17:26-27
  3. The bless the name of the Lord because His hands are not short to save. Isaiah 59:2. Worship Him because His salvation is coming your way upon the nation of the world today.
  4. We know from the scriptures that sin is very poisonous to our fellowship with the Father (Psalm 6-:18). Can we ask God this day to purge us with the blood of Jesus and make our lives whole (1 John 1:7)?
  5. Ask that the Holy Spirit will invade your heart with His truth against all lies and deception you are holding on to contaminating your worship. John 16:13.
  6. If there is one major need of the Church today, I think that thing is revival. Cry unto God today, to begin with, you. Plead with Him that He will cause His wave of revival to blow on you today. Psalm 85:6.

Praying for revival in the Global Body of Christ

Text: Mathew 5:13-16

The above  Scripture paints us a picture of what the Church should be. But it’s quite unfortunate the state the Church has found itself in today.
As we wait upon the Lord today, we are going to be crying out to Him to look down upon us again in His mercy and heal His Church (Psalm 85:6).

Prayer points

  1. Let’s give praise to God for purchasing the Church with His blood. Acts 20:28.
  2. Thank Him for every martyr of the Church in history for the sacrifices made to get the Gospel down to us.
  3. Thank Him for the impact of the Gospel across the nations of the earth.
  4. Let’s bring corporate repentance on behalf of the Church, asking for His mercy in every area we have failed Him Isaiah 30:15
  5. Let’s cry unto our Father today to please look down upon the Church and heal us from all our sickness and feebleness.
  6. Shall we lift our voices today for a fresh wave of revival upon the Church that will restore us to our original mandate. Rev. 2:4-5
  7. Pray for yourself that you will be a good ambassador of the Church that God can count on to drive this end-time revival. Isaiah 6:8.

Text: Mathew 16:18

The Church remains the most persecuted, the most attacked, and the most conspired against the institution in world history, yet her impact in world history is second to none. We are grateful to be part of this noble institution purchased with the blood of Jesus Himself.
The wellbeing of the Church is the topmost issue in the heart of the Father, and that is why again today, we shall be crying unto God on behalf of the Church.
Prayer Points.

  1. Thank the name of the Lord for His grace that is sufficient for the Church. 2 Corinthians 12:9.
  2. Praise Him for continually fighting for the Church against her foes. Deuteronomy 20:4; Jeremiah 29:11.
  3. Pray and ask God to purge us with His blood from everything that has stained our garment and corrupted our system. Hebrew 9:14; Ephesians 5:27.
  4. Pray for yourself today that the Lord will baptize you with the Spirit of grace and Supplication and fill your heart with His holy burden as we stand in the gap for the Church. Zechariah 12:10.
  5. Pray that the Lord will reunite the Church and make us of one mind, voice, and vision (to see Jesus glorified among the nations). Psalm 113, Philippians 2:5.
  6. Confront today every giant confronting the Church– the giants of immorality, selfishness, covetousness, ego, disunity, worldliness, unfavorable government policies, etc. Ask that God in His power will deliver us from these and many other things the devil uses to weaken our hands on the plough. Psalm 119:28.
  7. Pray that the Church will become a true representation of the coming kingdom of God here on the earth.
  8. Silent every voice of accusation and conspiracy from the pith of hell against the Church. Isaiah 54:17.
  9. Pray that the Lord will strengthen His Church and make every believer’s persecution ready Christians.
  10. Pray for the fresh move of the Holy Ghost upon the Church that will blow away all that we have of our own wisdom brought in against God’s pattern for His Church and usher in the fresh baptism of absolute obedience to the Word of God and the voice of the Holy Spirit.
  11. Pray for yourself that you will not at any point cause pain or shame to the Church or any of her members; rather, you shall always pursue the peace and growth of the Church.

Praying for revival among the Church leaders

Text: Ezekiel 33:6-7

Christ is the head of the Church, but He has privileged some people to watch over His enterprise here on earth.
One of the greatest needs of the Church today is Christ-centered, Bible-honoring, Spirit-filled, and heaven-minded leaders who will steer the sheep of the Church in fear and trembling (Psalm 2:11-12).
Today, we are praying for the awaking of Biblical leadership in the Church.
Prayer points

  1. Let’s give thanks to God for the sacrifice of the love of our Christian fathers.
  2. Thank God for their obedience to the heavenly vision, which made many of them abandon all for the service of the Master. Acts 26:19.
  3. Ask God for His mercy in any way we have miss represented Him before the flocks. Proverbs 28:13
  4. Ask God for fresh fire upon the altar in our various churches and upon every one of His servants.
  5. Pray for unity among the Church leaders. There can’t be revival when we are not united. Pray that God will set on fire everything that is bringing division to the Church. Psalm 113
  6. Pray for healing for every wounded general and restoration to those that have forsaken their first love. Revelation 2:4.
  7. I want us to declare the judgment of God upon every altar established with the name of Jesus, where men are diverting the worship that is due unto the Lord unto the devil. Mathew 7:23.
  8. Pray that the Lord will fill the heart of His leaders with the burden of His heart for the lost.
  9. Pray that Christian leaders will be a voice of change to this dying world.
  10. Pray for yourself that nothing shall take your hand off the plough of the will of God. Luke 9:62

Praying for revival among the Ministers Children

Text: Isaiah 8:18

“Behold, the children whom the LORD hath given me and I are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.”

Prayer points

  1. Let us thank God for the gracious children He has given us because they are blessings from the Lord.

(“And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with thee?… The children which God hath graciously given thy servant.” Gen. 33:5)

  1. Ask the Lord for transformation and revival for minister children because these are gifts from God who came out directly from the servant of the Lord. Acts 21: 8, 9
  2. The Lord shall deliver everyone in Satan trap, from every evil work of darkness, among their peers’ influence, community /societal and social media pressure. 2 Timothy 4:18
  1. Some who are in a secret court or silo already shall be delivered for the glory of the and the joy of their parents and leaders.

Some who are under evil counsel, diverse, ideal, relationships, manipulation, demonic, etc. Remember the story of Ammon in (2 Samuel 13:1-13.)
Vs.5 “And Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.”

  1. Lord perverse these children for your glory

(2 Tim. 4: 18b)
“…. and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.”

  1. They shall all be for signs and wonders among the generations and generations to come for the nation and their parents’ ministries. (Isaiah 8:18)
  2. Finally, the labor of love and prayers of their friends and family’s over these minister children will not be in vain; it shall speak forth and bear lasting fruits.

This shall be their testimony… “When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.” (2 Timothy 1:5)

Praying for revival in the Digital Space- Digital Ministry

 Text: Mathew 9:37-38

44. Many Christians do not see the digital space as a field of harvest, but thousands of people engage daily on social media and are open to talking about the Gospel.
45. As of January 2021, there were 4.66 billion active internet users worldwide – 59.5 per cent of the global population. Of this total, 92.6 per cent (4.32 billion) accessed the internet via mobile devices.
46. The Church must be proactive in taking the Gospel to the people where they are, making digital ministry a must for the fulfilment of the Great Commission.
Prayer Points
47. Praise God for the gift of technology to help fast-track the fulfilment of the Great Commission.
48. Ask God for all the evil people have perpetuated on the Cyberspace and the negligence of the Church to take her place to enthrone the Lord on the digital space.
49. Pray that God will raise up laborers who can leverage the digital tools, platforms, and resources to reach the digital dominants with the unfailing Gospel of the Kingdom. Mathew 9:35
50. Social Media might be perceived as a dark place due to hatred language, especially in times of hot debates. Please pray that believers will serve as a light and shine their light, so that many will come to know the Lord Jesus. Matthew 5:14.

  1. Pray for wisdom and skilful hands for all those focused on doing ministry online and a vision of how God can use this territory to start churches where there are not.
  2. Pray for all digital initiatives and preparations, especially as Christmas comes, that the Church will take advantage of the digital space to reach many for Christ.
  3. Pray for the global Indigitous body that more Christians will come to be part of this initiative that is committed to helping fulfil the Great Commission by engaging and unleashing Believers into Digital Missions through global events, digital resourcing, and community building.
  4. Pray for all the results of this year #Hackaton, that they shall be abiding fruits and that through them, many more souls shall be brought to the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus. John 15:16.
  5. Pray that the Cyberspace shall be filled with the glory of God. Habakkuk 2:14.
  6. Digital ministry requires adequate provisions. Pray that God will raise financial help for every digital ministry focused ministries and ministers.

Prayer Focus: Sport Ministry

  1. Praise God for all the amazing things the Lord is doing through the ministry ideal through sports all over the world… Eyes has not seen, nor ear heard for greater things the Lord has in plans to do through this ministry in this generation and generation to come. 1Cor 2:9
  2. Asking the Lord for more laborers, coaches, sports lovers, pastors, youth leaders for the world of sports and games… ” Pray ye, therefore, the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” harvest of the world of sport and play (Matt. 9:38)
  3. Lord open the eyes of your servant in the service(ministry leaders to this opportunity) … .” Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD’S servant?”(Isaiah 42:19)

Please pray that our leaders shall make appropriate use of this opportunity to engage the youth.

  1. Lord, we also ask you of the youths in the darkness through the sports world, drugs abuse, lesbianism, cultism, frustration and fame, engage in all unrighteous acts. Among the spectators, leisure, players and high profile guys. (Isaiah 42:7)
  2. Pray that God should help us to reach more people in the world of sports globally, coaches, players, management, chaplain, spectators, beginners, in every community, city and country. (1 Corinthians 9:24)
  3. Finally, let pray for all sports evangelists, for journey mercy in all their trip, more resources to reach more people, wisdom, grace and strength to them in all the ways for the engagement with the guys on the field and off-field. “Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints; That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed .” (Romans 15:30-32)

Focus: The Youths

Text:  1 Timothy 4:12: “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”


  1. Give thanks and praise to God Almighty for the lives of our youths. Bless the name of the Lord for His eternal purpose for them. (Ps. 127:4)
  2. Let us kindly ask the Lord that our youths will remember their Creator in the days of their youth. Please pray for them that God and His will shall be all that matters to them. (Ecclesiastes 12:1)
  3. Also ask the Lord to help them not to waste away their youthful age pursuing frivolous things, but that they shall maximum it for tomorrow’s reality. (1 Tim. 4:12)
  4. Pray that our youths will be great instruments of transformation in their generation. Ask God that in the order of David, they will serve the will of God in their generation. (Acts 13:36).
  5. Pray that our youths shall be rich towards God and they shall be light and salt to their world bringing changes to every sphere of life. (Mat 5:13-14).
  6. Pray for them that they shall live in obedience to God in every area of their lives.
  7. Pray for restoration of as many of these that have been caught up in the web of this end time, becoming thorns in the flesh to their parents and bringing shame to the body, that the hands of the Lord shall reach out to them and break the shackles of sin over their lives, and consume with fire everything that has held them bound against the righteousness of God.
  8. I want you to receive wisdom and grace for every youth-focused ministry and minister, that their efforts over these ones shall bring forth massive fruits.
  9. Pray for the revival of our campus ministry, that we shall be strategic enough to engage these future leaders with the unchanging Gospel of our Lord.
  10. Pray that our youths shall be up and doing in engaging their peers with the Gospel. (2 Tim. 4:2).

Focus: Nations: Nehemiah 1:5-11;  Zephaniah 2:3

In the scripture above, Nehemiah called the people to rebuild Jerusalem after a time of exile and destruction. Enemies had destroyed the walls, but Nehemiah knew what needed to be done – he would lead them through prayer as they worked together on this holy task! The goal was for them not only to be able to live in peace again but also so God could dwell among His beloved people.
We need more people like Nehemiah who can labor in prayers to bring back King Jesus to take His place among the nations of the earth. (2 Samuel 19:11-14)
That is why today, we shall be lifting our holy hands unto God on behalf of the nations of the earth.
69 Let’s give thanks to God for what He has done and doing in our lands to prove His ownership of all nations.

  1. Let’s plead for His mercy over every sin of bloodshed, corruption, immoralities, kidnapping, raping, and lots more that has subjected our nations to the attack of the enemies and limited the presence of God. 2 Cro 7:14
  2. Pray for wisdom for government leaders—international, national, state, and local. 1 Timothy 2:1,2; Romans 13:1-7.
  3. Pray that God would touch those who directly influence our nations – president, senators, governors/ mayors, ministers, etc.– as well as other key influencers like academics and media personalities.
  4. Pray that the peace of God will override every chaotic situation of the world.
  5. Please pray for the flood of revival in Afghanistan, and pray that the Lord will invade the government of the land with His glory. Declare that the government of Afghanistan shall become the government of our Lord and His Christ, and He shall reign forever. Revelation 11:15.
  6. Pray against every altar raised against the kingdom of God in nations of the earth. Declare the judgment of God upon such altar.
  7. Let’s ask for the wind of God’s power to blow away everything polluting our lands and the lives of the people.
  8. Pray for Christians in politics that they shall promote Christ in all they do. Please ask God to keep them and preserve them from being corrupted by power.
  9. Pray against the altar of communism in China. Ask that God in His power will destroy the forces upholding communism in the land and open the doors of salvation for the Chinese home and abroad.
  10. Pray that the Lord will expose and disgrace everyone promoting

Focus: The Missionaries


Text: Romans 10:14-15


  1. Thank God for the various mission adventures across the world over the centuries.
  2. Appreciate Him for the lives of His faithful laborers representing Him in difficult places
  3. Pray for strength and stamina as missionaries encounter antagonistic spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:10–18).
  4. Pray that God’s Word will indeed spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes.That God will keep missionaries safe.
  5. Pray that God will change the hearts of those who are resistant to His Word.
  6. Pray that God will provide strength and perseverance when their ministry seems to be fruitless
  7. Many missionaries travel frequently, both nationally and internationally. Their modes of transportation may vary from airplanes to buses, to canoes and motorbikes, and everything in between.
  8. Pray for required permissions to be granted for travel (visas and passports) and for necessary funds for tickets and fees.
  9. Please pray for protection and provision during travel.
  10. Ask that God will provide opportunities for missionaries in isolated areas to spend time with other believers.
  11. Pray that God will provide times of peace and relaxation to refresh his workers.
  12. Ask God for restoration — physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually — that can only be found in Jesus for every missionaries.
  13. Pray that the Holy Spirit will provide missionaries with words that communicate effectively in other cultures and languages. Jeremiah 23:29
  14. Pray that they will have boldness to overcome the fear of embarrassment or failure. Ephesians 3:12; Acts 28:31
  15. Pray against evil forces that would seek to hinder the spread of the Gospel. 1 Thess 2:18
  16. Pray that God will open doors of ministry, blessing, partnerships and friendships to every missionaries.
  17. Pray that every missionaries will be led by the Holy Spirit and recognize open‑door opportunities.
  18. That God will lead his people past barriers to hearts ready to receive his Word.
  19. Pray for the family of every missionaries that the shall be preserved by the Lord day and night from every evil and attack of the enemies.
  20. Pray for every missionary in the kidnappers’ den that in the order of the deliverance of Peter that God shall in a miraculously rescue His servants. Acts 12:7.
  21. Pray for more young missionaries to embrace the call of God to the Unreached and unengaged people and places across the world. Matthew 9:35.
