God is with you
Text: Josua 1: 9: Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
That was the word of encouragement that God gave to Joshua when the people of Israel were ready to enter the promised land. After the death of Moses, Joshua was the new person in charge of taking the Israelites to their promised land. It was natural for Joshua to feel fearful and alone in front of thousands of people, without the company of his great leader.
With the enormous challenges ahead and the battles to conquer Canaan, humanly speaking, it was to be expected that Joshua would need to receive instructions for war, military strategies, or training to attack fortresses. But no. Joshua received what he needed: courage, the strength of God, and the certainty that the Lord would always be with him.
That’s how great the courage and strength we can feel too! The creator God of the entire universe is by our side and to helps] us in our daily struggles.
With Jesus in your life, you can have this security that you will never feel alone. God is with you wherever you are.
