The moment of your awakening
Text: Ephesians 5:14: “Wake up, you who sleep, and rise from the dead, and Christ will enlighten you!”.
A man was in a coma for 10 years, he was a policeman by profession who was shot in the head during an outing to attend an emergency, which left him in that state for all that long time.
Then one day the miracle happened, the man woke up and immediately began talking to his relatives; He told his children that he loved them and his wife, that he had not stopped dreaming of her. However, during the recovery of an operation that was subsequently done, he had a complication and died of cardiac arrest.
In this world, many people are physically alive, but they live a spiritual coma. They are not aware of divine realities, they are totally disconnected from God and dead in their crimes and sins (Ephesians 2: 1-2). But in the same way that Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, the Holy Spirit can provide a new spiritual life to those who respond to the supplication: “Wake up, you who sleep, and rise from the dead, and will enlighten you, Christ!” (Ephesians 5:14).
Now is The moment of your awakening
- How grateful you should be because you are alive in Christ because you were awakened from your spiritual dream! If you have not yet experienced the life Jesus can give you, today may be the time to wake up to the true eternal life in Jesus Christ.
- There is no disease more deadly than sin; The cross is the only cure.
